Easter Breaks
Since, it's Easter this weekend we like to reflect on one of the biggest breaks ever.
This break has written breakdance all over and appeared in the rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar. The break is the musical theme of the movie (you should watch it completely for the music only!!) and has all the elements for a perfect break, heavy drums, superb bassline, mesmerizing guitars and boombastic strings.
It has been used in hiphop many times, but because of the religic background not too much.

Dutch DJ/Producer Lephen presents his new EP on the Rub A Duck imprint, featuring the titles “Le Suicide” and “Steppin Back”.
Lephen already made name as an upcoming dubstep/drumstep/hiphop producer, DJ and radio host from Breda, The Netherlands. Since January 2012, Lephen hosts his own radio show called Knife Tribe on Access.FM, every last Sunday of the month between 19:00 and 22:00hrs. His material already appeared on the acclaimed Snow Dance 002 compilation and has been signed to Oi! Recordings and Rub A Duck (Black Hole Recordings). Lephen used to be part of The Bobby 6 Killers, known for their remixes for acts like Zwart Licht, The Party Squad, Cablejuice and their own cut "Suicide Jump".
Now with his new EP, Lephen drops some serious dance floor material on Rub A Duck. Approaching his own productions from two different angles, we get to enjoy both “Le Suicide” and “Steppin Back” in a duckstep and drumstep version. Lephen’s relentless drum programming combined with fierce, screeching synth swirls still leave room for short but well arranged string breaks. A massive EP with a massive sound.
